THE CATAMARAN CRAZE IS ON.

With its 21st exhibition the Budapest Boat Show will come of age even by international standards.

Catamarans in the limelight! About half a thousand square meters of the Budapest Boat Show will be taken by these double-hull boats, the new 'celebrities' of water sports. Visitors will get to see, among other items, the protagonist of the 2011 catamaran world championship, the F18, but our guests will also include a 35-feet version, along with Dénes Paulovits, an outstanding Hungarian boat builder who is considered by many to be the most innovative of them all.

Renewed on-stage programmes will make the hours spent at the Budapest Boat Show even more colourful: besides participants giving accounts of their experiences in domestic and international races there will be water-sports champion portraits. Olympics will be even more relevant in the year of the next Olympic Games. Moreover, visitors will be awaited by races, for instance they can see who's the best in tying knots.

The guest of honour, will, from now on, be one of Hungary's lakes and rivers, at each of the successive Budapest Boat Shows, with Lake Fertő being the first on in the line in 2012.

The Budapest Boat Show will, as before, be accompanied by the Travel Exhibition and the PORT.hu Bike Expo. We hope to see you again in 2012 at the Budapest Boat Show.
